Robert Pattinson has said that he prefers chilling out with a beer and a smoke, rather than being mobbed when he is on location.
While the ‘Twilight’ heartthrob is grateful for his stardom, the 23-year-old actor has said that he would like to hide in hotels onlocation instead of dealing with throngs of screaming fans.
“I’m not much of a crowd person,” The New York Post quoted him as saying in the latest issue of Vanity Fair.
The British heartthrob feels conscious of flying in pals to keep him company on the road, because he fears how it would look to throw money around on his not-so-well-heeled entourage.
“Then you feel like a [showoff],” he said.

Kristen Stewart has gushed about Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, her co-stars on “Twilight” and its sequels. “I’m sure they would both be great husbands,” the depicter of Bella Swan said in an interview with Shaun Robinson from Access Hollywood on Friday, November 6. Explaining further about her statement, the 19-year-old actress said, “Taylor is like one of the most steady [people] – he’s really just a good guy. And then if you’re into.” She then added, “Rob is really a more, sort of analytical, thoughtful, like wishy-washy intellectual so it depends.” • Read full story…

With Twilight, the young actors found themselves thrust into the spotlight. Now, while their characters are torn apart in New Moon, they couldn’t be closer. For more, see pictures from their cover shoot and video with a sneak peek at New Moon. Plus, 11 things you didn’t know about Rob & Kristen.
By Laura Brown
Rob Pattinson’s and Kristen Stewart’s rooms sit side by side on the thirtysomethingth floor of the Sheraton hotel in Vancouver (”the Couve,” as Kristen calls it), where they are filming Eclipse, the third installment of the Twilight saga. They spend a lot of time in their rooms in the sky — two Rapunzels of sorts entertaining themselves behind closed doors — because it’s really, really hard to go out. “There are like 15 different exits in this place,” observes Kristen of the tactics she and the rest of the Twilight cast use to avoid the paparazzi. She adds, “Rob is more frustrated with it, but he’s 23 and I’m 19. He had a couple more years to be an adult and to be independent, whereas just as I was getting to the age when it’s normal to go out by yourself …” She pauses. “But it’s boring because this is all I fucking talk about.”
Rob talks about it too. “Do you mind if we sit outside?” he asks as he stands in his hotel room, looking longingly out the window. “I need some air.” It’s a cold, gray day, but who is to deny him some freedom? (And chivalry is not dead, girls. A young man will still lend you his jacket. Maybe because he is British.) Rob doesn’t just face paparazzi, he gets clawing, shrieking girls too. New Yorkers may remember he was clipped by a cab while fleeing from the ladies on the set of Remember Me this past summer. “But at least that’s an experience, something new,” he says. “If it’s just screaming — and I know this sounds so ridiculous — that gets old. But sometimes when there’s literal chaos, it’s like being in a war zone, and that’s kind of exciting. You’re just running through the crowd of people chasing after you and no one knows what’s going on.” Rob has laid low for a few days — a disturbance in the Force so great that Perez Hilton (home of some of Rob’s 15,200,000 Google hits) felt compelled to post, “Where is R-Patz?!” “If I’m not out, I’ve had a heroin overdose,” Rob observes. “It’s one thing or another.” • Read full story…

Vanity Fair likes to think of itself as a highbrow culture magazine with their fancy Annie Leibovitz covers, but if there’s one thing no publication can afford to ignore it’s Twilight. So for their December issue, they went Tiger Beat meets J.Crew catalogue with a stunning 12-page piece on Robert Pattinson (ahhhhhhhh!).
The photos are amazing. Look, Rob Pattz reads books! He can really wear a sweater! He eats his lobster like this! He gets so overwhelmed! He’ll hang out in bed with you all day! And, of course, he writes epic ballads at his grand piano on the beach! Swoon.
As for the actual words written about our dear sparkle vampire, it’s mostly about what an overwhelmed, self-conscious wreck Rob is right now. “I’m trying not to drown,” he says. • Read full story…

Kristen Stewart has claimed that she doesn’t want to be famous.
Speaking to Fabulous, the Twilight star compared the film’s vampire Edward Cullen to the concept of celebrity.
“Edward is actually a really good parallel to fame,” she said. “As a vampire he has a sad, desolate life – fame is the same.”
Stewart added that she wants to avoid being famous, but would like to continue acting.
“I don’t want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie,” she explained. “Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable. I’m an actor. It’s bizarre to me that everybody’s so obsessive.”
Stewart recently said that she avoided leaving her hotel room while filming the third Twilight film.

Chris Weitz has dished on the kissing scene between Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart on “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon”. Hinting at what the make-out scene between the depicters of Jacob Black and Bella Swan will be alike, the flick’s helmer said he directed the scene based on the third book from Stephenie Meyer’s vampire love saga.
“I can assure you we’re staying very, very close [to the book],” Weitz recently told MTV of the smooching scene. A moment after that, he added, “No one will feel that I have betrayed [Robert Pattinson's] Edward and Bella’s relationship.” • Read full story…

Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson finds it “weird” that his fans go “completely nuts” when they meet him
The British actor — who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the smash hit movie franchise — says he still can’t believe he’s become one of Hollywood’s hottest young stars.
“Every time I go out, no matter where I am, people just go completely nuts! It’s unreal,” Pattinson says. “When I started doing this, I knew the books were big in America but it keeps surprising me how much bigger everything’s getting!
“Every time I see physical manifestations of it, like fans going wild, my brain can’t process it, because it’s just too weird.
“One of the weirdest days was when we started shooting New Moon at this high school, in Canada. The school was still open, so there were kids everywhere. • Read full story…

UK fans, how would you like the chance to win tickets to the New Moon fan event taking place in London next month?
LIVE.CO.UK is looking for one abassador from each of the following UK cities (Picturehouse cinema attached): London Brixton (Ritzy Cinema), Liverpool (Picturehouse at Fact), Henley (Regal Picturehouse), York (City Screen), Stratford-on-Avon (Stratford Picturehouse) and Greenwich (Greenwich Picturehouse).
I need to find one ambassador in each city who I will give a pair of tickets to in return for setting up a Facebook group promoting the vouchers which I have made for this offer. Provided they get 250 members on their group, I can guarentee them a pair of tickets to the Big Fan Event in Battersea Park, London, on November 11th at 6:30. This event will be a live concert with the three main cast of the Film (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner) and also the director Chris Weitz attending, along with bands from the Official soundtrack playing.
We will also judge the ambassadors on how many vouchers are redeemed for their cinema, and the person with the most redemptions will get an additional cash prize of £100.
Entrants can be any age, providing that they can get the 250 members onto their Facebook group. • Read full story…

He’s bigger than Ben-Hur at the moment, if you believe all the hype. Yet to come face-to-face with Robert Pattinson is to meet a serious artist, a multi-talented individual who could as easily have been a classical or funky musician as a movie star.
The Twilight juggernaut is propelling the 23-year-old British actor to the heights of mega stardom and, having previously only played minor roles, most notably as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, he is making the most of it.
The small independent movie, Remember Me, was able to go ahead as the result of his casting and Pattinson is now in Unbound Captives, a western set in 1859, where the world’s sexiest youngster gets to act alongside the “Sexiest Man Alive”, Hugh Jackman.
“The Twilight fans are so devoted, even fanatical, that I’m now able to do so many films,” Pattinson says. “The economy is just so bad at the moment. I don’t care if they think I’m right for the part or not. I can get their movie made, which is great.” • Read full story…

Everyone still seems to be worked up about our boy Robert Pattinson supposedly having a love affair with alcohol.
An Australian tabloid, NW (the same source claiming girlfriend Kristen Stewart was pregnant, mind you—which she wasn’t), reports that Rob is on the fast track to Lohan-ville.
“Rob’s drinking to excess and indulging in other dangerous behavior,” a source tells the magazine. “His people are very worried and starting to think he should go to rehab.”
We know tabs love to exaggerate—but is there any truth to this one? • Read full story…
